There is a night
so dark, yet so bright.
Only the blind sees through.

There is a song
so loud yet inaudible.
Only the ear-less discerns.

There is a food
so sweet yet so bitter.
Only the tongueless enjoys.

There is a path
so wide, yet so narrow.
Only the amputees treads

May the truth set you free.

October 1st – Short story

 I was lost in the gaze. The view before me, even though not far from my nose, appeared a mile away. It was one of those days; my mind was restless and in an attempt to free it, I left the house foraging for an inner peace. The beach is one of my favourite places to visit whenever I needed some time alone. I enjoy the tranquillity and calmness coupled with the cool breeze that greeted me at my favourite spot. The wave would roll with speed and crash at the feet of people playing at the shore before drawing its hand back into its body; an event that continues till the end of time-   after all, it does all the time I spent out there. As I sat away from the water body owing to my irrational phobia, I observed the splendorous blue colour above the magnificent sea which gives the impression of a meeting point of the sky and the beach. Youth-Fool

At one point or the other, especially the years of teen and a few years after, most young people get involved in a lot of activities that are somewhat worrisome and which, most of the time, leaves an unpalatable taste if not curbed. I am not excluded in these acts; in fact, I can boldly talk about this because I was caught up in one or two of it. I am talking of no other year than those when: (1)     You start skipping classes in school and you are referred to as a scoundrel and neighbours have to warn their kids about getting polluted by you. (2)     All you ever thought of at the sight of any lady was ‘SEX’. (3)     Mum and Dad will be worried at home, but you are ‘over-confident’ of your safety anywhere you are.
